Model Casting Call: Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks so much for your interest in our fabulous casting call! To help address your questions, here are the most frequently asked questions.

1. What is VienneMilano?

VienneMilano is the first luxury hosiery brand and online boutique dedicated exclusively to thigh high stockings. Our products are Made in Italy for women who want to reveal their style and confidence by being sophisticated, playful and seductive in every occasion.

2. What kind of models are you looking for?

We are looking for models to be featured in our fall campaign and catalog updates. In particular, we are looking for two types of models (not mutually exclusive):

Production model - This is the type of model who appears in the VienneMilano catalog photos that will appear on our website. Photography will take place within a studio.
Campaign model - This is the type of model who will pose in our campaigns, such as product launches, holidays, etc. These photos may be taken inside of a studio or on location (mansion, historic landmarks, etc.)

3. Do I need to pay to participate in your casting call?

No, there is no fee to participate in the casting call.

4. Is this a paid gig?

Yes.*

5. I'm not 18, can I still join?

No. We do not work with minors. You MUST be 18 years of age the day of the casting call. NO EXCEPTIONS!

6. Help! I don’t have professional photos. What do I do?

No sweat. Find a friend to take a photo. Or take a selfie - but make sure to show us your legs!

7. Why do I need to send my photos to Casting@VienneMilano.com?

There is a group of fabulous people behind the VienneMilano brand. By sending your photos to casting@viennemilano.com, your photos can be reviewed by our team, for consideration.

8. How long is the casting call?

Expect to be at our casting call for approximately 2 hours. During the event, each candidate must try on three outfits with our hosiery. During this time, we will also take the opportunity to get to know you. As such, the event can take up to 2 hours long.

9. Can I be a little late?

This is a professional event, so show up on time.

10. Why can't I find the casting call address on the post?

The casting call will take place at 7 pm (EST) in the Greater Boston area at a prestigious hotel. For your own safety, we do not disclose the exact location of the casting call until you are confirmed to attend. When you are confirmed to join us for the casting call, we will share the exact address with you via email.

11. I can't make it to the casting call that day, but I would still like to join. What do I do?

Casting Calls are like job interviews; In order to get the job, you must show up. How often are you given a chance to try-out for a luxury hosiery brand and to show the world how fabulous you really are?
However, you may email us at casting@viennemilano.com - perhaps we can work something out.

12. What do I need to bring?

Each participant will need to bring three outfits and a pair of heels (about 4 inches) to the casting call. We will provide you with further details once your attendance is confirmed.

13. Do I need to wear stockings to the casting call?

We encourage you to wear thigh high stockings for the casting call, but if you do not own a pair that’s ok. You can either purchase one from VienneMilano.com at a discounted price before the event (use voucher code MODEL for 20% off) or you can wait until you arrive to our event and we will have a pair of our luxurious stockings for you.

14. Can I bring a friend?

Although we understand how important it is to have the support of your friends and family, we kindly ask that you do not bring them to the casting call. The VienneMilano casting call is a serious event where participants will be asked to talk about themselves in front of a live recording camera. Therefore additional guests who are not part of the event will affect the performances of other models. As such, we would like to keep the number of guests to a minimum. Otherwise, friends and family can wait for you at the hotel lobby.

15. Why do I need to sign a model release form for a casting call?

The purpose of our model release form is to let you know that we will be taking photos of you. We will be doing this in order to remember and evaluate your fit for our brand. We will also be using those photos internally after our event (photos from our casting call will not be published). Our casting call is not the actual photoshoot; should we decide that you are a fit for VienneMilano, we will invite you to a follow-up and will discuss photoshoot projects we can work on together.
