"What is International Cat Day?"

In cats' estimation, every day is cat day. However, since 2002, every year on the 8th of August, we bow down a little more to our feline friends.

Set in motion by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, the organization has since passed the torch to International Cat Care in 2020.

Paired to humanity for 9,500 years, these miny house tigers (house cats share 95.6% of their genetic makeup with tigers) need our protection despite their insistence to the contrary. So, on this special day, we remember what cats mean to us and work towards a better future for their precious selves!

How can I celebrate International Cat Day?
